David Shapiro is an AI researcher, advisor, and public educator. He helps leaders understand artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, and their implications for organizations and society.
David brings more than 15 years of enterprise technology experience, including roles at Cisco Systems and Duke Medicine. His work included cloud infrastructure, large-scale systems, and automation. He later moved into independent AI research and consulting, exploring AI safety, alignment, and the design of autonomous agents.
His research also examines how AI and robotics could change work, economic participation, and prosperity. Through his writing, videos, and advisory work, he helps audiences consider these changes and prepare for them.
